The Smartest Person in the Room

It’s OK to not know everything. Surrounding yourself with people who are smarter than you indicates that you understand your skill and personality gaps. I find I am always at my best when I’m surrounded by people who motivate me, who trust me, and who in-turn bring out my “A-game”. Never be intimidated by a room full of smart people - use it as an opportunity - it’s a room full of amazing resources! Oh, and one more thing - the only thing more dangerous than being the smartest person in the room…is THINKING you’re the smartest person in the room. This leads to a false sense of pride, self-reliance, and ultimately failure - best case scenario it’s failure for the individual - worse case scenario it’s failure for everyone in the room.
